Family Support Services (FSS) is a funding program that enables persons with mental illness, and their families, to be maintained at home and offer supports that enable the person to live independently in the community.
In order to be eligible for FSS funding, clients must reside in Westmoreland County and be open to Westmoreland Casemanagement and Supports, Inc. Priority will be given to clients who are actively being treated in the public mental health system (such as partial hospitalization or outpatient treatment) or those who are in a more restrictive environment.
Funding is very limited and based on availability. Approval is based on the FSS guidelines for appropriate use and there are limits to requests. Please see your AM or TCM for information. Our case managers have been trained to understand the FSS policies, procedures and guidelines. If the topic of MH FSS concerns a client, please direct the person who is interested to call their primary WCSI case manager to discuss their need.
